Big Tigger, sometimes known as Big Tigg, is an American rapper and television/radio personality. He is best known as the presenter of BET’s Rap City and 106 & Park

Big Tigger’s Short Bio

The rapper, originally born Darian Morgan, was welcomed on December 22, 1972, in The Bronx, New York, USA. Tigger is 50 years old as of 2023, and his zodiac sign is Capricorn. He is of American nationality and belongs to the African-American ethnicity. 

He was born to a Jamaican immigrant mother and an African-American father. He grew up in Coop City and played basketball on the section 4 courts at Wheaton High School. 

The artist learned how to rap and scratch when still a child in Co-Op City under the guidance of DJ Rob Lasky, also known as DJ All Might Scratch. His path to success began a few years before working as a DJ at Baltimore, Maryland’s WERQ, 92Q radio station.

Insight Of Parents: His Father Has Passed Away

Unfortunately, Big Tigger’s father, Frank, is no longer in this world and passed away in December 2007. He was close to his dad and often reminisced about him by posting about him on his social media accounts.

The music artist made a Twitter post on Frank’s third anniversary of passing, missing him a lot. Also, he used to wish him on his birthday, remembering his special day and reminding fans to cherish each day with loved ones.

Speaking of his parents, the television personality also has a step-mother. He loves and respects both of his moms and wishes them during Mother’s Day, showing them equal respect.

His Former Relationship With Keshia Knight Pulliam

Tigger was in a relationship with American actress Keshia Knight Pulliam from May 2012 to June 2015. After their separation in 2016, their breakup gained attention amid Pulliam’s divorce from Ed Hartwell and for her pregnancy news. It was also reported that Tigger could be the potential father of the unborn child.

“There’s been lots of conversation and innuendo suggesting that I might be the father of someone’s child. There is…zero percent chance that the child that is being alleged might be mine, is mine,” Tigger told E News in August 2016.

“[I] could not have impregnated a female that I have not spoken to nor seen…since our breakup. Any insinuation, speculation, intimation, or rumor of me being the father of that young lady’s beautiful child…[is] just not true,” he continued.

Pulliam also clarified that it was his then-husband Hartwell’s child. “This is his baby. He wanted more children. He was excited once he found out that we were having a little girl. There was never a question about that,” she said during Play. it’s Kandidly Keshia. “No point after we got pregnant was there an issue of the fact that we’re having a baby.”

Does He Have a Romantic Partner Currently?

The radio personality is not dating or having a romantic relationship. The last relationship he had was with Keshia Knight Pulliam, and he isn’t engaged in a love life now.

The ‘Snake’ rapper likely has no plans of marrying, but that’s not the case with his ex-girlfriend Pulliam. She shares a blissful marital life with her husband, Brad James, since getting married in September 2021.

There have been long-standing rumors of the rapper being gay. It all started in 2005 when groupie-turned-author Karrine “Superhead” Steffans visited a New York radio station and accused him of being gay. 

In response to that, Tigger made an exclusive statement to AllHipHop.com, refusing claims of homosexuality. “I am not gay. I have never been involved with any homosexual activities,” he stated. “I wanna thank all those who have shown support through this.”

During a 2015 episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, hosted by Tigger, Joseline Hernandez appeared as a special guest. When he questioned Hernandez about her relationship status, she referred to the long-running rumors he was gay. She said no one had ever seen him with a woman in the street and asked, “Where she at?” after he suggested people knew who his woman was.

The rapper started his career doing voiceovers for Black Entertainment Television in 1996. He hosted BET’s Rap City from 1999 until 2005, when Mad Linx took over as host. He hosted 106 & Park until July 7, 2006, when Terrence J and Rocsi, who had won the BET New Faces Contest, took over. 

He later hosted BET Style, which ran until July 6, 2006. Additionally, he has also hosted several BET: Uncut programs. He took up the afternoon drive time position on Atlanta’s WVEE, the sister station of WPGC, in January 2013.
