Big Tigger, sometimes known as Big Tigg, is an American rapper and television/radio personality. He is best known as the presenter of BET’s Rap City and 106 & Park

Big Tigger, real name, Darian Morgan, was born on December 22, 1972, in The Bronx, New York, USA. Tigger is 49 years old as of 2022, and his zodiac sign is Capricorn. He is of American nationality and belongs to the African-American ethnicity.

Big Tigger was born to a Jamaican immigrant mother and an African-American father. He grew up in Coop City and played basketball on the section 4 courts at Wheaton High School. 

The artist learned how to rap and scratch when still a child in Co-Op City under the guidance of DJ Rob Lasky, also known as DJ All Might Scratch. His path to success began a few years before working as a DJ at Baltimore, Maryland’s WERQ, 92Q radio station.

Big Tigger and Keshia Knight Pulliam

Tigger was in a relationship with American actress Keshia Knight Pulliam from May 2012 to June 2015. After their separation in 2016, their breakup gained attention amid Pulliam’s divorce from Ed Hartwell and for Pulliam’s pregnancy news. It was also reported that Tigger could be the potential father of the unborn child.

“There’s been lots of conversation and innuendo suggesting that I might be the father of someone’s child. There is…zero percent chance that the child that is being alleged might be mine, is mine,” Tigger told E News in August 2016.

“[I] could not have impregnated a female that I have not spoken to nor seen…since our breakup. Any insinuation, speculation, intimation or rumor of me being the father of that young lady’s beautiful child…[is] just not true,” he continued.

Pulliam also clarified that it was his then-husband Hartwell’s child. “This is his baby. He wanted more children. He was excited once he found out that we were having a little girl. There was never a question about that,” she said during Play. it’s Kandidly Keshia. “No point after we got pregnant was there an issue of the fact that we’re having a baby.”

Is Big Tigger Gay?

There have been long-standing rumors of Tigger being gay. It all started in 2005 when groupie-turned-author Karrine “Superhead” Steffans visited a New York radio station and accused Tigger of being gay. 

In response to that, Tigger made an exclusive statement to AllHipHop.com refuting claims of homosexuality. “I am not gay. I have never been involved with any homosexual activities,” Tigger stated. “I wanna thank all those who have shown support through this.”

During a 2015 episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, hosted by Tigger, Joseline Hernandez appeared as a special guest. When Tigger questioned Hernandez about her relationship status, she referred to the long-running rumors he was gay. She said that no one had ever seen Tigger with a woman in the street and asked, “Where she at?” after Tigger suggested people knew who his woman was.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Tigger has a total net worth of $3.5 million as of 2022. He has primarily accumulated wealth as the host of BET’s Rap CityTop Ten Hip-Hop, and the R&B music video program 106 & Park.

The rapper started his career doing voiceovers for Black Entertainment Television in 1996. He hosted BET’s Rap City from 1999 until 2005 when Mad Linx took over as host. Tigger was the host of 106 & Park until July 7, 2006, when Terrence J and Rocsi, who had won the BET New Faces Contest, took over. 

Tigger later hosted BET Style, which ran until July 6, 2006. Additionally, he has also hosted several BET: Uncut programs. He took up the afternoon drive time position on Atlanta’s WVEE, the sister station of WPGC, in January 2013.
