Gina Brillon (born and reared in the Bronx, New York) is an American comedian, writer, and actress who was the first and so far only Latina to win the NBC Stand Up for Diversity Showcase in 2012. Her work has appeared in the New York Post and the Daily News, among other publications. Her half-hour special, Easily Offended, was one of the most popular shows in HBO Latino’s Entre Nos franchise. She was also chosen to perform in Montreal’s Just For Laughs New Faces Showcase.
Brillon has a twin sister Deborah Lynn entered into a comedy contest when they were young.
She fell in love with comedy when she was 14 years old after seeing Brett Butler’s showtime special Brett Butler Sold.
She had always enjoyed making people laugh.
Her husband, Jeremy Oren, is a freelance pianist.
Gina Brillon has been performing stand-up comedy since she was 17 years old.
If she weren’t a comedian, she’d be a relationship counselor or therapist.
She appeared in Gabriel Iglesias’ theatrical film The Fluffy Movie. She also has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, EChelsea !’s Lately, AXS’ Gotham Comedy Live, The View, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
