London Breed is the first-ever Black woman to be appointed as the Mayor of San Francisco. She was vowed in as mayor on July 11, 2018, and was also the winning candidate of the special mayoral election, held on June 5, 2018.
She is said to create a more resilient and equitable San Francisco for all. Before being elected for mayor, she was elected as the president of the Board of Supervisors in 2015.

Then for five years, the mayor served as a San Francisco Redevelopment Agency Commissioner. Until her appointment at the Board of Supervisors, she worked as a San Francisco Fire Commissioner.
The mayor has done several remarkable works, such as turning unused housing units into homes for families, improving mental health facilities in San Francisco, fulling the safety needs of the residents, tackling the city’s ambulance crisis, and many more.
As per the reports, London Breed admitted to having dated San Francisco’s former Director of Public Works, Mohammad Nuru, for a brief time in the past. Nuru resigned from his post after he was arrested for corruption schemes.
The politician keeps her personal life very private. Nevertheless, we know that she is married to Lawrence Lui, owner of Stanford hotels and a hotel developer. The public knows very well that not only is her husband a civil engineer graduate, but he also is the son of the Hong-Kong billionaire, Che-woo Luo.
