Mike Zito was a married man who shared his blissful marital life with his wife, Laura Zito, but things took a different turn. They had their wedding ceremony on July 16, 2005, and enjoyed every moment of being married.

Zito’s Upcoming Music Will Be a Blues Album
Mike Zito is set to release the new album sessions for the upcoming Life is Hard CD from Gulf Coast Records in February 2024. He will record the new album at Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood, California.
Furthermore, Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith are handling the production department of his new album. They have formerly worked with him in his critically acclaimed Blood Brothers.
The singer’s forthcoming CD is a blues album he hasn’t tried before. He planned this upcoming project with his lovely spouse, Laura Lena Duke Zito, and he initially planned to record it in January 2023.
Zito is possibly trying to explore something new, as he and his other half agreed on some promise. They decided he needed to continue making new music and try to put some of these hard-earned emotions into music.
In conclusion, Zito’s wife is also one of the contributors to his new blues album, including Joe and Josh.

Sadly, Zito’s Wife Lost Her Battle With Cancer
Mike Zito’s other half, Laura, is no longer in this world and passed away on July 31, 2023, in Nederland, TX. He announced the demise of his better half on Facebook, notifying fans about it.
Moreover, his life partner was battling cancer, which eventually became the cause of her death. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Metastatic Cancer in July of 2022 and only had 9 to 12 months to live at that time.
The guitarist thanks Dak Prescott for making his spouse cry for joy. He thanks him for lifting her spirit in a way only he could do, which may have a vital role in making her happy before her final breath.
Before her demise, Zito did everything possible and even created Laura’s cancer support campaign, intending to raise $200K. The campaign was successful with a donation from 2.2K people, raising over $227K.
The music artist’s life partner spent her last breath with her family, surrounding her with love. Zito even mentioned that she taught them to love and live life to the fullest until her final hour.
After her passing away, Laura’s funeral was held at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.

His Wife Was a Proud Mother
Laura Lena Duke Zito was a loving spouse and a responsible mother of five children. She shared Sophie Zito and Josie Zito with Mike, and following their marriage, she became a proud mama of Sam Zito, Zach Zito, and Riley Zito, whom she loved and cherished.
In addition, following her death, Laura’s daughter Riley shared a post remembering her on social media. She penned, “I’ll love you forever Lu, and I hope you found your peace, I’ll see you when I get there.”

In addition, she was a graduate of Nederland HS. After high school, she went to Lamar University to get her Bachelor’s Degree and became a teacher.
Laura was a math teacher and used to teach at Odom Academy in Beaumont, TX. She formerly worked as a beauty advisor at Walgreens.
Overall, the beautiful lady was a proud spouse and mother. She also gave the world music by inspiring her partner and changed thousands of lives as a teacher.
