Rhonda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. After getting out of the shower, she found out when her breast was inverted. At that time, the mass had grown to almost 4cm by that point. After that, she started her treatment with chemo and then moved on to radiation. Finally, Rhonda underwent surgery and completed her treatment on September 4, 2009. After the couple knew each other, they started enjoying each other company and decided to continue their bond. Later, they met at a golf club for a date. After that, the duo strengthened their bond and decided to move together to Oakland.

In 2018, after moving together, Jason proposed to her during a trip to Miami, one of the pair’s favorite vacation spots. “It was the biggest surprise of my life,” says Walker. The happy pair got engaged on September 26, 2018. Despite this excitement, they weren’t in a hurry to start planning their wedding.

Eventually, the planning kicked out into gear and finalized the Labour Day weekend wedding date on August 31, 2019. Rhonda was always dreamed of getting married in California Wine Country for the beauty and gorgeous weather. Her dreams come true when the couple gets married, where their close friends and family mark their presence.
