Ron “Tater Salad” White is an American stand-up comedian and actor who rose to prominence as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour craze. Now, as a chart-topping Grammy-nominated comic and feature film actor, Ron White has established himself as a celebrity in his own right. White has always been a storyteller of the highest kind. What is the craziest thing that had ever happened to him? A man died during one of his New Year’s Eve gigs in South Country, St. Louis, of a heart attack.
How much do Ron White drink and smoke per day? He frequently takes his first drink of the day on stage. And he drinks on a daily basis. But on most days, he’ll unwind with a glass of scotch and a decent cigar. So, if it’s a two-show night, he may be a little lit by the end of the second one if he’s not cautious.
He has a beautiful dog named Mustard.

White was a U.S. Navy sailor. Near the end of the Vietnam War, White enlisted at the age of 17 and served on the USS Conserver, an auxiliary rescue, and salvage ship.
Before coming to the United States to pursue comedy, he lived in Mexico for a short time and purchased a pottery factory.
He was also a member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
Ron’s stand-up DVD Behavioral Problems was released by Comedy Central in 2009.
Ron was apprehended by police in a narcotics investigation on September 7, 2008. He was found with 7/8 grams of marijuana.

White stated in November 2015 that he would run as an independent candidate for President of the United States in 2016. Meanwhile, White appeared in the Showtime series Roadies in 2016 as Phil, a veteran road manager for the fictional Staton-House Band.
Once he was being fined by the city of Lincoln, Neb, they were going to punish him $100 for smoking in their auditorium, which would have been utterly catastrophic to his financial situation right now, but they signed a waiver.
He has no idea what to do with his hands if he is not smoking while performing.
