American rapper, singer and songwriter, Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr., better known as Tee Grizzley, is a Detroit-based artist known for his singles like First Day Out and No Effort.
His brother Marcellus Wallace, known as Baby Grizzley, is also a rapper who has done various collaborations like Gave That Back and Twin Grizzlies with his brother.
He posted a screenshot of his brother’s mugshot with an emotional caption about how this crushed him. Putting up a brave face, he implied he had his brother’s back.
Less than a week before the indictment, the Wallace siblings had released a new song, Gave That Back. The music video premiered on YouTube on January 23, 2021, and has over 2.3 million views and 74 thousand likes to date.
Baby Grizzley’s Robbery Charge
The current federal gun charge is not the first one Marcellus has faced. He was charged with robbery and served five years in state prison.
Marcellus was released in October 2020 and was received by his brother Tee Grizzley, who arrived in a Bentley with a bag full of money.
However, just four months after his release from state prison, Marcellus was charged with a federal gun charge.
His grandmother raised tee Grizzley because his mother and father constantly being in and out of prison.
Tee’s mother was sentenced to 20 years in jail for drug trafficking in 2011, and his mother was freed in December 2020. Tragically, his father was murdered in 2012.
Formerly known as King Tee, he gained the moniker “Grizzley” behind the wall from other inmates, and he finally went by the stage name Tee Grizzley.
He was sentenced to nearly three years in prison for armed robbery. And in November 2016, he released his first single, “First Day Out,” after being freed from jail.
When Tee Grizzley was freed in October 2016, he pledged never to go back to prison and promised himself that every hustle would be lawful.
On June 5, he released the song “Mr. Officer” in protest of the death of George Floyd and police violence.
On August 20, 2019, his vehicle was shot upon in Detroit, Michigan. His aunt and manager, Jobina Brown, was killed in the event. He and the driver, on the other hand, survived the incident unharmed. On September 20, 2019, Grizzley released his song “Satish,” accompanied by a music video in memory of Brown.
Wallace was one of three persons arrested on July 1, 2014, during an attempted robbery at a jewelry store in Lexington, Kentucky. Michigan jail freed him on October 16, 2016. Since then, The state of Kentucky has banned him from entering any jewelry store, and he can’t even go out in public with his hood on.
Grizzley is an enthusiastic gamer who started broadcasting to followers on the video streaming platform Twitch in 2020.
