Mintz’s Soon-To-Be Husband Also Works at KRQE NEWS
The meteorologist is happily engaged to her boyfriend, Scottie Strickland. While she never shared photos of her fiance, her mom did while congratulating them on the occasion of their engagement.
Mintz’s husband-to-be also works at KRQE News. He is the Newscast Director, a position that he has held since December 2022, and it has already been a year and three months there.
Before that, Strickland worked at KOB 4 in the same position that he is currently holding at KRQE News. He worked at KOB 4 for seven months, from June 2022 to December 2022.
Furthermore, Mintz’s boyfriend turned soon-to-be life partner worked at Wnct TV from April 2017 to June 2022 and was the Morning Edition Newscast Director. In addition, from May 2016 to December 2016, he was the Production Assistant at Appalachian State University’s AppTV.
His responsibilities included installing and adjusting professional lighting in a TV studio environment. he also shot, edited, and produced several packages for on-air use using Photoshop, Adobe Premier, and Audition.
Moreover, Strickland, an audio mixer for live broadcasts, was also responsible for placing Lavalier Microphones on several subjects for broadcast.
Talking about his education, Mintz’s significant other attended Appalachian State University. He graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine & Applied Arts in Communications. He also minored in Electronic Media and Broadcasting. Before that, he went to Western Alamance High School.
Talking about his family, Strickland has two siblings, Tia Bracken and Dustin Bowes. While his mom is Michelle Gann Bowes, information about his dad has not been divulged yet.

Happily Engaged to the Love of Her Life
In February 2023, the meteorologist surprised her fans by sharing about her relationship milestone. Sharing four pictures with a ring on her finger, she delightfully announced her engagement.
In the post, Mintz wrote,
“A few of you noticed a new addition to my wardrobe on air this week…an engagement ring! And I said YES!!! So excited and lucky to spend forever with my best friend and the love of my life.”
Many well-wishers congratulated her and penned their heartfelt messages for her. One user even penned, “Ok now we gotta see him.” Another person stated, “We never see a photo of him I don’t think. We just know someone is always taking your photos.”
She replied to the comment, saying he was a little camera-shy. Well, the couple has not revealed when they are tying the knot. The duo might be planning on their big day.
In May 2022, Strickland’s girlfriend moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to start her new job at KRQE News as a meteorologist. Could it be the couple had met while at work? Well, until and unless one of them reveals, the details of how they met and their relationship timeline remain a mystery.
Nevertheless, the couple seems to be taking one step at a time and enjoying their time together. Hopefully, their bond will last a lifetime.
