Her dad’s car had flipped over, and as a result of the accident, he suffered brain damage. They spent long nights at the hospital, where doctors told them that he would never wake up. Fortunately, he did, but he stopped eating, screamed with anxiety, and during the day, he got emotional.

However, he gradually recovered from the incident and started to learn the basic things. He didn’t remember much about his past six months.

Later on Mother’s Day, her dad also surprised his mother by showing up for the first time in the house after the terrible accident.

Finally, on Father’s Day, he came back, but at that time, he could walk. In December 2020, Graulau posted a picture with her father when they were seen at a hospital, which was taken on December 25, 2019.

She stated, “It might look like a sad picture, but whenever my dad fell asleep and gave his mind a rest, it was a good thing.”

Otherwise, her father endlessly repeated the word, saying, “Help me, please.” She also shared a moment when her father asked her to help him. Then she replied, saying she was waiting for him to tell her what he needed help with.

And her father laughed. She professed, “It was just one of the phrases his injured brain held on to. And the fact that I can have that conversation with him a year after his car accident makes us so fortunate.” Now, her dad has recovered well from the tragic incident.
