American writer Del Tackett and his lovely wife Melissa have been together for over five decades since the marriage. They also have been blessed with beautiful kids.

Not many people have the same level of success in their relationship as Del Tackett. He met his true love when he was young.
According to Desiderant Angeli Blogspot, the writer met Melissa when his parents moved to Kansas City. But unfortunately, his father and mother split soon after. As a result, he was loaded with the responsibility of caring for his mother, who had become mentally ill due to her marital issues.
But everything changed when he found Mellisa after he enrolled in a Metropolitan Junior College in Kansas City in 1967.
Then, Tackett and Melissa started to date. However, the pair had to separate for a brief time when she went to college in southwest Missouri. He also received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Kansas State University at the time.
The duo dated for some years and eventually decided to take the next step in their relationship. Later on, the couple exchanged wedding vows in August 1972.
Well, he also completed his Master’s Degree the same year.

As a result, the couple is now having a great time together. He has welcomed four children with his wife, who are all grown up now and engaged in their respective careers.

Del Tackett is a writer, veteran, and president of Soli Deo Gloria since 2011. He is also the founder of Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project, a national program aimed at introducing the Christian worldview to the body of Christ.
He has worked for over 20 years as a United States Air Force officer. Moreover, under the George H. W. Bush administration, he was the director of technical planning for the National Security Council at the White House.
He spent years in the software engineering field, leading the tiger team that created a crucial NORAD command and control system in Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado.
Talking about his education, he enrolled in Blackfoot High School in Blackfoot, Idaho, in 1993. He then attended Ruskin High School, where he earned his high school diploma in 1967. He later attended Metropolitan Junior College in Kansas and majored in Electrical Engineering.
Following that, he graduated in computer science from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in artificial intelligence.
He also earned a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Auburn University. Later, he attended Colorado Technical University to pursue a Doctorate in Management and Computer Science.
Now, Melissa’s husband considers himself a tour guide who takes others to the most breathless place possible: to gaze upon the face of God and to comprehend how his nature and character undergird of all reality.
