How Cancer Took Away Melissa
Born in 1979, Melissa was known to have sweet nature since her childhood. Loved by all around her, she lived her life to the fullest. But, at the mere age of twenty-one, her body turned against her, and she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
The devastating truth turned her life upside down when it was further discovered that cancer had spread to her major organs and was taking over her liver than well.
However, going through a series of treatments, Melissa was miraculously free of cancer just before a month of her wedding with Camp.
But, soon after the wedding, the devastating reality again hit the couple when they found cancer had returned, and this time it was way stronger, affecting Melissa’s entire body. Despite the treatment, cancer took her life on February 5, 2001.

Although death parted the couple, it could never lessen Camp’s love for her. The couple’s magical love story began after meetingeach other in 1999 at a bible study. The Jesus’ followers instantly fell in love.

Hoping to spend their lives together, they announced their wedding to be on October 21, 2000. As if God’s blessing, miraculously, just a month before their wedding, Melissa was free of cancer, but it returned shortly and took her life.
Their magical love story was recently turned into a movie named I Still Believe, released in 2020. The beautifully portrayed movie, ranked as 2020s top romantic movie, touched millions’ hearts.
