Chaney and her hubby recently tied the knot, and from what she has posted, it appears that the couple has been enjoying their marital bliss. Did you know the couple comes from a different professional background?
Chaney’s Husband Is a Doctor
The news anchor has been happily married to her life partner, William Ertl. Unlike her, he comes from a medical background.
Chaney’s life partner is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and specializes in Orthopedic Traumatology. Ertl has been a member of the Level 1 Team at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center since 2002.
Ertl, whose full name is William J. Ertl, mainly focuses on research and clinical practice, centers on results of trauma surgery, limb amputation and reconstruction, and collaboration with basic scientists who investigate bone healing.
Chaney’s spouse went to the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida, and received a medical degree from there. Following that, he finished his orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
As he continued his specialized education, Ertl earned Fellowship training in Orthopedic Traumatology at Harborview Medical Center at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Talking about his current job, Ertl is the Medical Director of Orthopedic Surgical Services at the OU Medical Center. During his tenure, he has promoted the establishment of the Amputee Clinic in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery & Rehabilitation at OUHSC.
At OUHSC, Chaney’s significant other leads an interdisciplinary team of practitioners in physical therapy, prosthetics, and nursing. Furthermore, he was also the chair of the yearly held Ertl Trauma Symposium for three years.
Moreover, he also has memberships in the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and Southern Orthopaedic Association. He is also a fellow at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

Got Married on New Year
As mentioned earlier, the news anchor and her husband recently tied the knot. Unfortunately, the details of their relationship timeline remain a mystery.
Nevertheless, as per her social media, Chaney introduced her boyfriend only after getting engaged. In April 2021, she shared a photo of her engagement ring, and the second slide featured her fiance. However, she didn’t reveal his name or any other details.
Then, the same month, she shared a snap of a room featuring a few of the wedding dresses at Mira Couture and wrote, “Wrapping up a successful weekend.” Moreover, in August 2021, they had a wedding menu tasting at The Broadmoor.
Finally, on January 1, 2022, the lovebirds walked down the aisle hand in hand. With a snowy background, the couple’s photo was stunning, and they, too, looked great in their respective wedding attires.
It has been a year since the lovely duo tied the knot. The pair seem to be enjoying their marital bliss, and hopefully, their marriage stands the test of time.

Mrs. Ertl Is Already a Mama of Two
While Chaney and her husband are yet to welcome any kids, she has already experienced motherhood as she is a proud mother of two grown up sons.
Her eldest son was born in September 1999. She lovingly calls him CJ, and in May 2022, he had a graduation ceremony. Then, her youngest child arrived in December 2003. Unfortunately, she has revealed little to nothing about her baby boys.
Overall, William’s wife and her sons have a pleasant bond. The mother and sons often go on dates. Likewise, her husband must be sharing a good bond with them.
