Karen Derrico married Deon Derrico in 2005. Deon is a real estate investor who once secretly married and divorced before meeting his current wife, Karen. Before he started a relationship with Karen, he was already married to Alicia Wright while he lived in Michigan.
Their relationship ended in 2003 after Alicia filed for divorce from Derrico. Then, Deon met Karen, started a new life with her, and resided in North Las Vegas. Karen Derrico and her husband, Deon, met in a Detroit nightclub. Karen was a flight attendant at the time, and Detroit was her home base.
From the beginning, the couple wanted to have a big family. As a result, the couple was blessed with 15 children, and one is adopted. But this is not always the case, during her fifth pregnancy, they are expecting triplets. But their son, Carter, did not make it and died shortly after the birth.

In an interview with The List, the couple said: Their opposites attract relationships eventually led to their marriage and subsequent family of 14. But, since having a big family was the goal, there’s no way the couple could have possibly predicted that all but two of their children would end up being born as multiples.
The couple knows that their family is special and wanted to show their greatness throughout the world. But the number of children isn’t the reason that they think about this. Deon believes that every family has gone through their own problems and challenges.
Despite having 16 children running around the house, the couple has no problem finding order and routine on a day-to-day basis. But, Karen didn’t consider herself too hard for her children.
