Then, he wrote in the post saying he was relieved and pleasantly surprised that she said yes. In the picture, the pair were looking at each other while holding a glass of wine.
Just a month ago, he announced in April that he was leaving Chicago and moving to Washington, DC, with Rachel and a Dutch dog. He also revealed that the journalist met her on a blind date on the second day after he came to Chicago. “Meeting her is, without a doubt, the best part of moving to Chicago,” he added.

He stated, “A final goodbye to Chicago last night on @newsnationnow- leaving the Windy City with the best thing that’s happened since I got here @rachelputnam1 and I are heading to DC — see you back on the air Monday!”
