The renowned diver, Saylor Hawkins, has great parents and is one of their 5 children. Her father was a former athlete in both football and track during his college days.
Plus, her mother has a highly decorated career but is now a retired individual who has been enjoying her life celebrating her offspring’s achievements.
One of the Five Children of Her Parents
Hawkins was born on May 1, 2001, to her loving parents, Wayne Hawkins and Kari Hawkins. She was their 4th child, as they already had her older siblings before her. Adrian is their eldest child, followed by Dominique, Ebony, and Saylor, and the youngest one in their family is Dayas.
Moreover, she is an American citizen as she was born and raised there, plus her dad and mom are also citizens of the same country and are university graduates.
She is of mixed ethnic background. She often shares several pictures with her family on various occasions.
For instance, the diver exclaimed that her old man was the best dad in the world. While wishing on the occasion of 2023 Father’s Day, she thanked him for being their biggest fan and for always supporting them no matter what.

Hawkins, with her father, mother, and little sister, had gone on a fun trip to Scotland. Her mother found the country beautiful and described it as very green and lush. They even visited a few castles, Jupiter Art Land, and they did a bunch of hikes.
Her graduation was also a proud moment for her parents and siblings as they were there to appreciate her achievement. Nevertheless, Wayne and Kari are proud of their children’s accolades.

Hawkins’s Father Was Drafted By an NFL team
The 22-year-old’s father, Wayne Hawkins, is a former football and track athlete and is a native of St. Anthony, Minnesota. He had many achievements during his prime years at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU).
Furthermore, he wasn’t your average football player. The former athlete is known for his 126 receptions for 1,515 yards and 18 touchdowns during his senior year of college.
Wayne was the first player to play in both the Kelly Tire Blue-Gray All-Star Classic and East-West Shrine Football Classic. He ranked sixth place in the country and was honorably mentioned by NAIA All-America in 1990.
He shone brightly and eventually was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 1992 National Football League draft. Hawkins’s father was the second player in SMSU who was drafted by an NFL team. He was even voted as the Student-Athlete of the Year in 1990 and 1991.
Wayne received many honors and accolades during his college days. Plus, he is also spoken highly by the Columbia Heights Public Schools, his alma mater. However, he didn’t pursue sports as his professional career and hasn’t stated the reason behind that decision.
Currently, he runs his own business, a cleaning service that keeps him busy. All in all, the former athlete is a proud father of his 5 children and has loved his pet dogs, Kayne and Stella.

Hawkins’s Mother Is Leading a Retired and Happy Life
The diver’s mother now leads a happily retired life. Her mama, Kari, completed her bachelor’s in marketing from the University of St.Thomas. She is a skilled woman with knowledge of the industry and with strong interpersonal skills.
Her retirement didn’t come quickly and easily, as she worked in three different positions at Solutran for more than 25 years. At first, she served as a National Account Executive for more than 9 years.
While at that post, she was responsible for growing new revenue for the payment service offerings that the company provided.
Then, after gaining experience, she worked as a National Sales Manager again for more than 9 years. Kari managed a sales team to acquire new business from consumer product manufacturers, healthcare, and retail industries.
In that position, she even actively led a promotion acquisition for Soultran’s Healthy Savings launch in 2013 to promote healthy food choices to insured members. Plus, she collaborated with state governments on processing WIC payments.
At last, she served as Director of Strategic Account Sales for nearly 6 years, ending her 25-year-long professional period with that company.
Overall, Kari and Wayne have led a great professional and romantic life, plus their children are here to take care of them.
