Nevertheless, she and her ex-partner share two beautiful daughters.
Have Welcomed Two Daughters
The couple welcomed their first child, Slye, just one year after their marriage in July 2010. Then, she began consistently sharing pictures and videos of her little one on social media.
After three years, in 2014, they welcomed Eva. In addition, AJ already had a daughter, Jayla, from his previous relationship.
Since they had three daughters in total, she said in an interview, “It’s like a girl group; Destiny’s Child and one dude, my husband AJ.”
Well, Slye is currently thirteen years old, whereas Eva is nine years old. The mother-daughter trio loves spending time together.
Her eldest daughter started third grade in September 2018, while her youngest daughter started Pre-K.
Slye was also a part of the Arizona Department of Health Services’ Must Stop Bullying program in 2022. Gibson shared a post expressing how amazing it was to see her kid involved in the campaign.
All in all, she now enjoys her life with her two cute daughters.

Gibson Met Her Former Husband in Phoenix
The American journalist and her former husband initially met when she moved to Phoenix., as she was traveling across the country from her birthplace, Atlanta, Georgia.
The charming couple then began dating, and after some time, they decided to take the next step in their relationship.
So, Gibson and AJ shared wedding vows in an intimate wedding ceremony in 2009. Eventually, the pair went on several vacations and spent quality time together.
Gibson said to Arizona Parenting in 2015 that apart from gathering for a large lunch every year, she and her husband commemorated each holiday in a unique way. Her family is from Atlanta, and her former husband’s family is from Phoenix.
Therefore, most of the time, they stayed there (Phoenix) to celebrate occasions. Further, she added, “Then there are years we just say, ‘let’s go to Vegas,’ and the family will all meet up there.”
In addition, she gave importance to her family; she said family is vital to her because of the strong support in the work industry, which can brighten her life every few years.
Sadly, the former couple lost their mothers in the span of three years.

Yetta Gibson used to tweet frequently about her spouse. According to one of her tweets, the journalist’s ex-husband AJ managed the Majerle’s Sports Grill.
Furthermore, in 2016, she shared a post on her Instagram account where she was kissing the late boxer Muhammad Ali, and penned in the caption, “Think my husband will be ok with me kissing this man.”
However, she stopped mentioning her husband after 2017.
Plus, she has never shared her beau’s picture but constantly shares her two daughters’ images.
The journalist never talked about whether she got divorced from her husband or not.
However, the anchor’s bio in AZ Family has stated she is a single mom to her two daughters. Nevertheless, the exact date and reasons behind the pair’s separation are still under wraps.
